Health is in Your Hands: Celebrating Hand Hygiene Day

The World Health Organization is reminding everyone of the importance of hand hygiene today during World Hand Hygiene Day 2023. The value of clean hands and wearing gloves is in preventing the spread of infection to patients, between patients, for self protection and respect, but according to the CDC, on average, healthcare workers aren't performing hand hygiene when they should 50% of the time. With drug resistant infections increasing globally, there is a need for action and hand hygiene plays a role.
